- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I love the physician and nurse at the Baton Rouge Family Health Center South, Dr. Chasuk and Nitche are outstanding. However, recent changes made by supervisory personnel have left them short handed. The only RN for the office is forced to answer phones, check in patients, verify benefits coverage, accept co-pays, make appointments, draw labs, assist patients to exam rooms. With many of the patients from St. James Place and the geriatric community, it is terribly confusing for them to arrive in an empty office when the nurse is in the back with patients some of whom may need additional assistance for their appointment. These recent policy changes need to be evaluated for patient safety first and foremost then consider the quality of care and performance of this one invaluable employee.September 16, 2017by Angel Tetrick
